Evolution Vs. God

If you believe in evolution, prepare to have your faith shaken!
This is the trailer to a new movie from Ray Comfort, and, while I haven't seen the movie yet, I am looking forward to seeing it!

"Dawkins will have a cow." Ron Fathauer, GospelCry

CAPTURE Kansas Photography Workshop

Any Christian photographers out there? Well then, this is for you:
In October, my family will be hosting a photography workshop.
Photographer James Staddon is coming to Topeka for this wonderful opportunity.

Here is what he says:

Hi! I'm James Staddon. As a Christian, photography entrepreneur, and grown-up homeschooler, I love three things in life: my Savior, shooting Creation, and inspiring other photographers to stand alone on Biblical standards of photography! God wants learning photography to be wholesome, fun and practical; it should be principled, profitable, and hands-on! Want to develop your photography from God's perspective? Check out the CAPTURE Landscape Photography Workshops; there's one even being planned in Kansas! Develop your skills. Consider your convictions. "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (II Corinthians 10:5).

I am inviting you to come and be a part of this, and if not you, then please share with those who would be interested. Either way, I would appreciate it if you would spread the word around!

Thank you so much! :)

Independence Day 2013

As you can probably imagine, we spent yesterday out at Grams and Papa's (where else?):

My dog really enjoyed the homemade ice cream... LOL!

...He also enjoyed attacking the fireworks...

I was taking pictures of the sunset, when someone gasped and said there was a smoke ring...I couldn't get a picture before it faded. It was a perfect circle of smoke! :o

Golden Hour:

God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood:

"If tomorrow all the things were gone

I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again
with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars
to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota
to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas
from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston
and New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart
and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A."
