I Love Dinosaurs. They are majestic creatures! Not to mention their complete AWESOMENESS. So here I go, back to Jurassic Park...sorta...
I wrote this article, research is from, where else? Answers in Genesis!
· Are dinosaurs a mystery?
Dinosaurs are only a mystery if one accepts the evolutionary story of their history:
“Dinosaurs first evolved around 235 million years ago. Way before man. They were so successful as a group of animals, that they came to rule the earth. However, about 65 million years ago, the dinosaurs disappeared.” Many evolutionists believe that an asteroid killed them, or they died of indigestion. Others think they aren’t extinct, but evolved into birds and are flying around us today.
· When did dinosaurs live?
Evolutionists claim that they lived millions of years ago. But we need to remember that the fossils that they dig up don’t come with a tag that says how old it is. There is much evidence against millions of years. God made T. Rex on day six, along with all the other land animals (and man).
· How did dinosaurs fit on the ark?
When people think of dinosaurs, they normally think of large creatures that could never fit into Noah’s Ark (and when they think of Noah’s Ark, they think of a little tiny boat with animals crammed into it, and giraffes sticking out of the chimney). But actually, the average size of a dinosaur is about the size of a sheep. Besides, ALL dinosaurs were once small, because they all hatched out of an egg not much bigger than a football.
· What did dinosaurs eat?
Originally, before sin, everyone on earth ate plants and vegetation as it says in Genesis 1:30: “and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, which has life, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so.” Some people object to this by pointing out the sharp teeth of T. Rex, saying that they must have been used for attacking animals. But, just because an animal has sharp teeth doesn’t mean it ate meat. It just means that it has, well, sharp teeth!
· Did dinosaurs evolve into birds?
At the entrance to the bird exhibit at the Cincinnati, Ohio zoo, we can find this sign:
“Dinosaurs went extinct millions of years ago - or did they? No, birds essentially modern short-tailed feathered dinosaurs.” In 1996, a fossil that was said to be a feathered dinosaur was discovered in China. But further study on this creature, reveals that it had reptilian lungs and diaphragm, different than that of avian lungs. Also, the “frayed edges” that some thought to be feathers, are similar to the collagen found beneath the skin of a sea snake. No, dinosaurs did not evolve into birds.
