Of the Bible Bee

Saturday morning, my family got up, and went to attend the Bible Bee Local competition. Daniel and I competed... But sadly, this was my last year. :(

While we were there, we got to visit with some friends, as well as meet new friends!

Most of the Senior division (the oldest group):

Most of the participants. A couple of them had to leave before the closing ceremony.
Oh yeah, and Jubilee sneaked into the pic! :P

The "online friends." We use Memverse to practice our memory verses, and have also gotten to know quite a few fellow bees! :D
Left to right: Seth, me, Daniel, Bethany, Ben, and Carissa

Bethany and me. Selfie! ;)

Carissa and me.

I am sitting here trying to be patient, as I don't know if I'll make it to Nationals...
We are supposed to get our results by Friday! :)

The Art of Celebration

I recently heard about this group, and have since been blessed by a few of their songs.

Now some of these songs are too loud for me, but they are great songs nonetheless!

Rend Collective is now my favorite music group!

My Lighthouse is my favorite song!

Build Your Kingdom Here

Praise Like Fireworks

The Cost

And here is a bit of their story. :D

Remembering to Pray

"Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." -Hebrews 13:3

You might remember the story about American pastor Saeed Abedini, who was thrown in prison in Iran, while he was there working on an orphanage in the summer of 2012. He is now serving an eight year sentence in one of Iran's worst prisons.

He is now in danger!
ISIS Militants who are in prison with him, have threatened to kill him because he is a Christian and an American.

Here is the full article on this situation.

On another note (though no less heartbreaking), this is an article/video about his two children, Rebekka (7) and Jacob (6) pleading for our president's help to bring their daddy home.

Please continue to pray for him - that his faith would not be shaken, despite death threats, and torture!

Bright Lights 2014

"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" -Philippians 2:15

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." -Matthew 5:16

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." -I Timothy 4:12

Many of you will remember that my mum, sisters, grandma, and I took a trip up to Cedar Rapids, IA to attend the Bright Lights conferences about four weeks ago. Well, here are some pictures!!!

I didn't take any pictures during the Strong in the Lord conference this year, but we were invited to spend the afternoon with the team on their day off - Thursday.

We went to the park and had some quiet time, one-on-one time, and then we did some witnessing. :D

Young ladies! If you haven't read this book already, I highly recommend it!

Sharing time. It is always so wonderful to hear what the Lord is doing!

Mmmm, snacks!

Radiant Purity:

The worship time is always a favorite time for me!

The skits never get old!

I miss every single young lady I met there! Old friends and new!
I had the chance to meet two of my online friends, Lily and her sister Sarah, as well as their sister, Annie! THAT WAS AWESOME!
Annie, Lily and Sarah, I miss y'all so much! I wish we could have had more time to get to know each other better, but I am grateful for the time we did have!

In Him,
